My Wife Is Injured In A Car Crash

A lot of you know me out there and know that I really take no pleasure in covering tragic events that occur to so many people on a daily basis. Last Wednesday, I was doing an advertising shoot for the paper when I received a very emotional phone call from my wife. It's the type of phone call that makes your mind go numb and puts your guts outside your body. She had just been in an accident and was in pain, scared and so much more. When I arrived at the accident scene, she was already in the E.R. The other driver was gone and our car was put into a field. I want to personally thank all those who treated my wife and those who visited her in the hospital.

This particular morning was the first time, that I can remember, that I didn't give her a kiss in the morning before she left for work. The reason, I was already working and I wanted her to get a little extra sleep.

If you love someone, let them know it. You never know when it might be your last chance.

I love you too honey. Yes, it was scary and I'm really glad that I was driving my heavy car. Too bad we won't get back what we put into it. Never again will I go to work without giving you a kiss.

I hope everyone who reads this will understand how lucky they are in the world to have someone to love and ALWAYS wear their seat belt.
