Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash on Highway 441 south just north of 242A. The vehicles involved were a 1999 Pontiac T/A and a 2000 GMC Pick up.

Jesse Devon Johnson, 23, was shot near the corner of NW Georgia Ave. and NW Gibson Lane. He would later die from his injuries. Charlotte Lashonda Owens, 38, 764 NW Campbell Street, turned herself into the Lake City Police Department Thursday night.
She is charged with homicide.

A Preteen Boy Found In A Stolen Vehicle

Authorities took a preteen juvenile into custody Sunday when they recovered a stolen van in the Wal-Mart parking lot. The driver of the van, a 30-year-old man from Orlando who is not related to the child, was arrested according to police reports.

Motorcycle VS Truck

Columbia County emergency medical personnel transport Buddy Lee Cole into a helicopter on U.S. Highway 41 and Falling Creek Road. Cole was injured when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck.

A Women Tragically Dies After Crash

Beverly Caldwell Gooch, 55, died at a local hospital after she was extricated from her car by emergency crews following a single-vehicle crash. The wreck happened at 608 West Duval Street, the administrative offices for the First Presbyterian Church. No one else was injured in the incident.

David E. Nabers, 28, of Green Cove Springs went for a wet and wild ride after he lost control of his Chevy Trailblazer. He was traveling west on I-10 when tried to take the Hwy 441 exit in Columbia County, Florida.

Why?

As I write this, words that I have to say are hard to come by. This picture is of little Tosh Allen Tucker. He passed away last night and nobody yet knows why. He was not even two years old. This little boy was like a Grandchild to us. He lived with us for 3 1/2 day a week. He died at his mothers house about 8 hrs after leaving here. I ask you to say a prayer for him and his family.
